Congratulations Don Harvey!!!
Don is the recipient of an award of a $20,000 Creative Workforce Fellowship. He was given the award for paintings accomplished over the past two years. There were over 250 artists who applied for this first round from which 20 visual artists in Cuyahoga County were each awarded $20,000.00.
The program was initiated by Community Partnership for Arts and Culture and funded by Cuyahoga County through its Cuyahoga Arts and Culture program. The fellowships are designed to reward members of the creative community in Cuyahoga County for their dedication to the community and to encourage other artists to consider relocating to the County. A second round of awards will be announced later this summer of fellowships given to writers and performing artists. Hereafter, the grants will be given annually to artists in one category or the other on an every-other-year basis.
